We aim to promote safe spaces for all participants and to be conscious of reducing barriers faced due to gender, race, culture or geography.

We aim to be financially accessible, and to hold our event in spaces where people of all physical abilities and ages can participate. The Secret 3K is not a competitive event but rather a community celebration.

As we grow we look for ways to ensure new additions to the event can be scaled across all of our sites. We aim to support our volunteers and to ensure we do not set systems in place that would contribute to volunteer burnout. We aim to be environmentally sustainable by keeping our footprint low.

We look for opportunities to empower women and girls in leadership through volunteering and participation in our event. We aim to have gender equality in leadership of our event. We aim to use gender equitable language. We raise awareness of gender equity issues locally and internationally. We aim to support local and international charities that are supporting gender equality initiatives particularly those connected to our original inspiration from Afghanistan.
